An elegant single-variety wine from Tinta Roriz grapes, this is one of the flagship wines from Quinta do Crasto, whose terrace image graces the home page of my website. It is only produced in the years in which the Tinta Roriz grapes reach their full ripeness. It has red fruit and wood in the nose and wild berries, wood and sweet spices on the palate with silky tannins from the 16-18 months that it ages in oak barrels. It has a long finish. A good sign: One of the Portuguese importers I use served it at his daughter's wedding. ;-)
