Adega Mayor Red Reserve

Regularly rated a very good wine, this red blend from the Alentejo region in south-central Portugal is made from 40% Aragonez, 30% Touriga Nacional and 30% Alicante Bouschet grapes and aged partially in used French oak barrels for 12 months, partially in stainless steel, for a smooth taste not overwhelmed by wood. It's bold with medium tannins, blackberries, cherries, vanilla and chocolate aromas and 14.5% alcohol. It goes well with rich meat and cheese dishes.
