Markogianni Triton
Markogianni Triton
Mavrodaphne grapes are usually used to make sweet wines, including those used in Greek Orthodox church ceremonies, but this time Markogianni Winery, a small, third-generation family winery located near ancient Olympia, has created an impressive, full-bodied, dry Mavrodaphne with a complex bouquet of violet, lavender, bay leaf, sour cherry, blueberry, cherry, vanilla, toffee and cedar. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 10 months and can be aged for 5-6 years. (Note: Newer vintages of this wine are called Dalion.)
This Red wine is made by Markogianni in Peloponnesus, Greece from Mavrodaphne grapes and tastes Dry, Complex, Elegant, Fruity, and Smoky.
