At The Roots Of The Mountain

This rich red wine comes from Grampsas winery on Zakynthos island. The name, Sti Riza Tou Vounou (At the Roots of the Mountain), refers to the fact that the local Avgoustiatis grapes are planted at about 300 meters above sea level. The wine is aged for about a year in French oak barrels and has a mix of red fruit, floral, herbal and peppery notes in the nose and mouth.
