Idaia Vidiano
Idaia Vidiano
Some people are calling the Vidiano grape variety, which is widely used in Crete, the "new Assyrtiko" for its potential to produce complex, elegant white wines with a couple of years of aging potential. This excellent dry white wine is produced south of Heraklion, Crete, in a family winery that specializes in local Greek grape varieties. It is produced in stainless steel tanks without any barrel aging in order to preserve the grapes' natural aromas of stone fruits, exotic fruits, lemon blossoms and a touch of honey. It pairs well with chicken, fish and vegetable dishes as well as white pizzas and pastas and many Asian dishes with a bit of spice.
This White wine is made by Idaia in Crete, Greece from Vidiano grapes and tastes Dry, Complex, Mineral, Elegant, and Citric.
